Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a successful and growing wealth management business within the client accounting team. As a key member of the department, you'll collaborate closely with colleagues across the trust company. We’re looking for someone conscientious, able to thrive under pressure, and an excellent communicator. If you’re adaptable, curious, and bring a sense of humour, we’d love to hear from you.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare clients’ accounts in a timely and accurate manner
  • Maintain bookkeeping records for complex client entities
  • Provide outstanding client service by being organised, efficient, and detail-oriented
  • Act as a proactive team player, working collaboratively with colleagues at all levels

Qualifications and Skills

Essential:

  • Must have “Entitled for Work” status i.e. minimum of 5 years residency in Jersey
  • A minimum of five years’ experience working in a client accounting role
  • ACCA, CIMA, AAT or CAT qualified or working towards qualification (or equivalent), or obtained relevant experience in a similar role
  • A sound knowledge of U.K. taxation particularly around accounting for investments would be beneficial but not essential
  • Ability to work to deadlines

Desirable:

  • Good at building and maintaining relationships, with first-rate interpersonal and communication skills and a friendly, professional demeanour
  • Organised with exceptional time management and attention to detail, adaptable to a changing environment
  • Initiative, enthusiasm, and determined to drive projects to completion
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and a willingness to learn new software systems
