We are excited to announce that Jon Proudfoot has joined Affinity Private Wealth as Associate Director, Investments. He will head up the firm’s investment research process, alongside day-to-day management of the investment team. Jon brings with him 18 years of industry experience, with particular expertise in alternative investments, fund research and portfolio management.
Having begun his career in Jersey at Ermitage Asset Management, Jon moved to NYC in 2009 to help establish Ermitage Americas, before joining Nexar Capital Management and more recently UBP Asset Management. At UBP, as Equity Hedge Strategy Head he was responsible for the bank’s largest area of alternative investments and a senior member of the team managing key institutional mandates. In addition to leading coverage of equity strategies, Jon has spent time focused on global macro, quant strategies, commodities, CTAs and multi-strategy funds, and was a voting member of the IC at UBP, Nexar and Ermitage.
Jon holds the CAIA (Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst) designation - in addition to the IMC and ACI Dealing Certificate - and attained his BSc (Hons) in Management Sciences from the University of Warwick in 2002. He is currently studying for the CFA Certificate in ESG Investing, in keeping with Affinity’s full commitment to responsible investing.

When he’s not analysing investments at Affinity, Jon enjoys coastal hiking and swimming, playing football, and cooking for his wife and two young children. He regards summiting Mt. Kilimanjaro and shipwreck diving in Australia as two of his favourite achievements.
