Dougy Robertson
Dougy’s responsibilities are nestled between client relations and the smooth day- to-day running of the investment team’s routines. His background in research and hospitality positions him well, with an analytical mind and client-facing experience. Dougy is a science in stem cell, biology graduate of Edinburgh University. He transitioned to a successful, 9-year career as a chef, running his own businesses as an events caterer; creating diverse and innovative events, revelling in the entrepreneurial challenges of the industry and enjoying collaborative projects. He chose a new path at the beginning of 2020, passing the CIMA Certificate in Business Accounting and the CFA UK IMC, before joining the Affinity team in 2021.
Alongside joining Affinity, 2021 saw Dougy start a family and move to Jersey to make the most of the outdoor, family-friendly lifestyle. His hobbies of cycling and paddle boarding align well with his continued love of cooking, finding great picnics and foraging spots in his island explorations, both on and off the water.
